I live in yoga pants like a lot of yoga instructors. Yes, I love them for the comfort and simplicity. Yoga pants work for my lifestyle.
My problem is the cost of a good, well-constructed pair of yoga pants. I search the racks of discount stores for name brand pairs at low cost to stay in my personal budget.
For Christmas, someone gave me a gift of two pair of Calia by Carrie Underwood yoga pants. Bonanza! I received a floral capri pair and a long navy abstract pair.
I loved the pattern of both pair. The shopper knows what I like. The first thing I noticed was the nice, thick construction on both pair. If you worry about see-through yoga pants, this line will make you feel secure in deep forward bends.
My pairs both have a little extra control at the natural waist and feature the essential hidden small pocket at the waist. The attention to detail is seen in that sweet useful hip pocket with a hidden zipper closure instead of the open construction I usually see in activewear. The waist area stays put during vigorous movement without rolling.
For anyone who wants lift and support in the bum area, these yoga pants have it. I have problems finding pants that fit snuggly in that area. I am happy to say these were true to size and enhanced this area.
Both pair of yoga pants are still new but I suspect they will hold up well with frequent washing and long wears. Calia yoga pants feature moisture wicking and antimicrobrial technology, which I appreciate after sweaty hot yoga classes. All seams feature double stitching, so I won't experience an embarrassing moment. I think these yoga pants will age well.
